ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS FORM AND UNUSUAL STYLE on this very rare and scarce Bendix Eclipse outboard boat motor engine. From what I understand, Bendix was only in business for a few years in the 1930s and were way ahead of the time in their designs and style. I believe this is either a 2.5 hp or 5hp, but not sure. This motor is in amazing condition for its age. It is very clean and looks like everything is there, no breaks or cracks that I can see. The engine turns freely and has good compression. This motor comes from Maine so it probably has had very little use as the season for boating up here is so short. Has a brass propeller. Does have a little dent on the very back of tank and a couple little age dings, see detailed pictures. Definitely, this is one of the most INTERESTING outboard engines we've seen! I don't know whether this runs or not, I'm not a mechanically inclined person, and as on any mechanical items we sell, we describe them as we see them, to the best of our ability but CANNOT GUARANTEE them, all our mechanical items are sold as is, with no returns. SURE TO BE THE HIGHLIGHT IN YOUR OUTBOARD ENGINE / NAUTICAL COLLECTION!
