This RED LED (not Homelink compatible) transmitter was removed from a 91 Cadillac Deville; this was a rare option on the 80's and early 90's Cadillacs.

This transmitter has been tested and is fully-functional, however, this is an older unit that features one button with a small 3-position switch, and requires an additional wired-in box to be located adjacent to the opener motor.

This is NOT the type Cadillac remote with the AMBER LED that supports the newer ROLLING CODE technology, and is not Homelink-compatible.  The RED LED (like this one) transmitters will likely only work with pre-1997 garage door openers; the garage door opener industry changed in 1997 with newer Security+ programming.

These are designed to fit right into your standard equipment Cadillac garage door opener retainer located between the sun visors adjacent to your map lights.  It was on DeVille from 1980 through 2005; Seville, 1980 - 2004; Eldorado, 1980 - 2002; Brougham, 1987 - 1992; All Fleetwood & Commerical models 1980 - 1996; Fleetwood Sixty Special, 1987 - 1993; Fleetwood Seventy-Five, 1980-1987; and Cimarron, 1982 - 1988.
