The snow season will be here before we know it and now is the time to do maintenance on your salt spreader. I hope you have a manual for it, but if you don't, here is a good buy.
Did you know that you should have the operator's manual in your shop or office for each piece of equipment you own? It is part of your Safety Program and can help lower your work comp insurance. And you definitely need it if you have to go through an OSHA inspection. Each of your mechanics and operators should read this manual. Then you need to document that they have read it with a list of printed name, signature and date read. The company I worked for could have saved a lot of grief if they had documented the above information. When OSHA comes calling, you want to have your "ducks in a row".
