Have you ever bought something that worked for you at first but later circumstances changed and you had to buy again? Don't let that happen with your truck. You can go buy the cheaper up rights that carry ladders, but what if you need to contain your load, like a landscaper, or you need to ad a window guard for protection from, lawnmowers, firewood, furniture, etc...
SSI offers an innovative Do It Yourself, pick up truck rack
systems. This is the Five in One Rack System. It allows you to build specifically
the truck rack YOU need. I supply you with four vertical metal corner connectors that bolt
to your truck bed. Set Collars at the top of the vertical corners allow for
standard 1”water pipe (Pipe not included, this save you money on freight. Purchase pipe from your local steel supplier or recycling center), to be secured a crossed the top of the rack. Great for a
canoe or boat. Create a cab guard
with one of three window guards available, but sold separately. Add
wood boards, plywood or expanded metal to the sides, excellent for
landscapers. Need to carry ladders? There are also holes in the vertical
uprights that allow you to bolt a 2 x 4 or even 4 x 4’s to create an over the
cab rack.
All holes are pre drilled in the four vertical metal corners. This design works well on small to full sized pick up trucks. When not in use the 5 in 1 rack system can easily be disassemble and stored.
This is a Do-It-Yourself truck rack system. To build the rack you will determine how much lumber and fasteners to purchase and the type. You will need and know how to use a tape measure, square, drill and drill bits and wrenches. You will also need access to a power saw for cutting wood. I provide a guide booklet with illustrations and tips suggesting fastener lengths and lumber, but be warned, this system is for the tool man Taylor type guy. When finished you will have a great looking truck rack and because of the work you did you will have saved yourself money! Pipe, Lumber, truck, bolts and hardware are not included.
