Another world first for EBC was the debut of a semi-sintered brake pad compound. This new material uses a 30% weight percentage of copper in a high density Kevlar matrix that combines the best of both worlds. Longer life, similar to sintered brake pads and great brake "feel" with lower heat transfer and less rotor abrasion that organic pads are known for. EBC V Pads are available for cruisers and big twins as well as for rear applications on numerous sportbikes where extended wear life may be an advantage.

Semi-Sintered V pads are an asbestos-free, organic, molded friction material designed for use in heavy duty and off-highway motorcycle applications. 30% copper by weight added makes this a high-copper pad close to sintered durability levels. It has a medium-high coefficient of friction which retains highly effective braking performance over a wide range of operating temperatures. This material offers stable braking with minimal pad and rotor wear. Cruiser riders will especially appreciate the minimal dusting of their wheels.
