Overview

The primary function of a control arm is to provide the connection point between the body of the vehicle and wheel. This allows the wheel to move up and down while the body frame and passengers stay smooth and level. Key components that are normally found on a control arm include the control arm bushing and the ball joint.

The Mevotech X Factor control arm program not only provides the broadest replacement coverage in the aftermarket, but many of our control arms are redesigned to improve their life and durability, helping to restore the vehicle to as close to original suspension specifications as possible.

Mevotech X Factor control arms are designed with thicker forgings to reduce excessive flexing and twisting of the suspension system, and are manufactured with upgraded, greaseable X Factor ball joints to improve durability and wear.

Technology

Metal design of internal components — Internal metal designs are widely used in the manufacture of Mevotech X Factor control arms. These designs incorporate highly durable upper and lower metal bearings that surround the ball joint stud and ball, and they include grease fittings to allow for grease and lubrication to be injected into the central area to prolong the life of the control arm.
Greaseable — Greaseable control arms enable the ball joint to be serviced, to flush out old grease and contaminants by injecting new grease during inspection and maintenance routines.
Black oxide coating — The black oxide coating provides high resistance to variable corrosion factors such as road debris and adverse road and weather conditions, ensuring prolonged life of the Control Arm.

All applicable sales taxes will be refunded. The cost of shipping will be credited only in those instances that the return is a result of our error. C.O.D. shipments will not be accepted. Core Returns If you would like to return an item associated with a core return value, please submit your request through our Returns form. Please note: • All fluids must be drained from the core • The core must be securely wrapped in plastic and sealed • Cores must be returned in the packaging used in the shipment of the order sent to you • Your core will be inspected to determine if the core is rebuild-able • Core return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.
