Quality welding.

Okuyama have been around in Japan for a while and more recently have hit the D1 scene in a big way.

Their brands such as Carbing, Dash and others are well known for niche product items such as roll bars and Chassis re-enforcement parts.

The Okuyama Strut Bars are some of the best on the market. A Strut Tower Bar is a standard item for body reinforcement. It will stabilize the suspension’s behavior by preventing the vehicle body from twisting at cornering. This is particularly effective with old models.  Fitting a Strut Tower Bar to front section of a car will improve steering response. And also improves controllability of the car when fitted at the rear section as rear section’s behavior becomes more recognizable.

CARBING utilizes A5052 for aluminum type models and STKM13A for steel type models, along with original design, to create a unique strut bar that is both strong and lightweight.

TYPE I,II,V,D are used 20×40φ shaft and TYPE R,RSP are used 30×50φ.

Aluminum is softer than steel. With increases in wall thickness, as well as the thickness of the bracket section, CARBING is able to create a unique strut bar with the strength of steel, but the weight of aluminum.

CARBING strut bars are fully welded, creating extremely high rigidity and reducing weight. Every single product is hand welding by skilled welders. As a result CARBING strut bars are some of the most beautiful looking and superb quality strut bars.

Bracket thickness is 2.5~5.0mm that thickness makes enough strength and rigidity. The bracket’s back-surface is same shape as strut tower’s top-end providing a perfect fit every time.

This model includes a MCS (Master Cylinder Stopper)

A master cylinder stopper regulates movement of firewall at breaking and also makes grate feeling of pedal touch control.
It is a recommended item for a parson who wants to get a break control that is more accurate reaction and quick response of pedal input force.

Depending on the model, They can be generally fitted in around 20 minutes. Note some models require processing of the bulkhead and therefore will require more time for installation.

Enhance the rigidity and get more feedback from you’re your car today and also dress up the engine bay.

Recently fitted to Newera Demo cars with excellent results.

MG6 & Geely Emgrand EC7 get Euro NCAP 4 Star Ratings

Wed, 23 Nov 2011

MG6 gets 4 stars in Euro NCAP tests Just a year ago Geely was making all the wrong headlines when the Geely CK1 scored zero in the Latin NCAP tests. But now, just a year later, the Geely Emgrand EC7 and the MG6 – both made in China – have scored four starts in the last set of Euro NCAP tests for 2011. Apart from being a great result for China, it’s proof – if proof were ever needed – that the Chinese car industry is certainly a force to be reckoned with.

Is this the production version of the Porsche 918 Spyder? (video)

Fri, 03 Aug 2012

We have what appears to be official video of the Porsche 918 Spyder being previewed by a private audience in New York. The Porsche 918 Spyder is hardly a secret, but all the cars we’ve seen so far have been concept cars; prototypes evolving as the 918 Spyder moves from concept to production. But this video looks different.

The Toyota Prius V - a Prius MPV with more luggage space We knew Toyota were planning on growing the Prius family. We also knew that the next stage of that was going to be an MPV, or at least a more Cossover type of car. We did think it would be the Prius Alpha.
