Is the center console panel on your 2004-2011 Mercedes Benz SLK scratched or otherwise looking a little dull and tired? We have developed a simple, self adhesive vinyl cover that is precision cut and fits over your existing center console panel perfectly. No trimming is required. The material is thin and has the look and feel of real carbon fiber. Our product will not interfere with the operation of any switches or components. If you've seen most other dash kits you will notice that the material they use is very thick giving your switches an odd sunken in look. Those other kits are so thick that they often interfere with the operation of switches and other components. Removal of the console or any other interior components is NOT necessary. The console is shown removed for photographic purposes only. Installation is very easy and complete instructions are included. If you ever decide to remove this product, it will simply peel off leaving no messy or sticky reside behind.

This center console cover is available in black carbon fiber, silver carbon fiber, grey carbon fiber or red carbon fiber finishes which really dress up your interior nicely. Please indicate your color choice either via an ebay message or leave a note when checking out with PayPal. Please note that if no color choice is indicated, black carbon fiber will be the default color shipped

If you have a 2004-2007 SLK we also offer a matching cover for the multi function switch housings on the Sport equipped steering wheel in a separate listing. More products for this model are in the works.

This item fits any R171 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 or 2011 Mercedes Benz SLK including the SLK200 Kompressor SLK300 SLK350 and SLK55 AMG. It is only for the center console pictured. Mini E Racer (2010) takes on the Nurburgring

Wed, 14 Apr 2010

In these days of 7min laps, rounding the Nurburgring in 10min hardly classes as electric. Unless you’re in a Mini E. A battery-powered baby BMW driven by ex-DTM racer Thomas Jäger turned in a 9m52 lap, hitting a heady – but presumably near silent – 116mph on the way.

1980s supercars

Thu, 10 Jul 2008

By Tim Pollard and Ben Oliver 10 July 2008 16:01 Supercars in the Eighties The Italians continued to innovate in the ’80s, but they also came under pressure like never before from a series of supercar wannabes. The Germans fettled the humble 911 Turbo into the race-spec 959, which showed how computers could sport brains as well as brawn. Meanwhile Honda showed the NSX, which became the first contender from the Orient.

UK new car registrations up again in July

Mon, 06 Aug 2012

New car registrations in the UK have risen for the fifth month running, with a total of 143,884 new cars registered in July 2012. The UK is continuing to buck the European trend with new car registrations up by 9.3 per cent in July (2102) to 143,884 according to new figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). That figure is the largest sales volume of 2012 and is the fifth month in a row that new car registrations have risen, despite economic woes and the Eurozone crisis, and brings registrations in 2012 to 1,201,564 so far, leading the SMMT to increase their prediction for 2012 sales upwards to 1.97 million.
