By Chris Chilton First Official Pictures 01 October 2008 20:00 After Lamborghini's endless string of frustrating teaser shots, here, finally, are the full pictures of the Aston Rapide-rivalling four-seat Lamborghini supersaloon, the Estoque.     The concept sports a V8, but Lamborghini is incredibly open-minded about possible powertrains. The Gallardo’s V10 will be offered but engineering boss Maurizio Reggiani told CAR that a powerful turbodiesel or possibly a hybrid petrol electric drivetrain would probably also be offered.

Lamborghini today showed the world their new at the LA show - now take a deep breath - Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performante. And you thought Japanese brands loved a multi-faceted verbose car name. In simple terms the Performante is the Spyder version of the Superleggara. It's been on the same religiously slim-fast diet, adopting lots of carbonfibre (inside and out), swapping the standard car's leather for lightweight Alcantara, and receiving lightweight wheels.

Tom Medley 1920-2014

Tom Medley, best known as the creator of the hapless and humorous hot hero Stroker McGurk, passed away March 2 of natural causes in Los Angeles at the age of 93. While Medley was best known for his McGurk character, he was part of the media empire that was Hot Rod magazine from just after its inception until his retirement 37 years later. Medley was a photographer as well as a cartoonist, covering the first Bonneville speed week and the Indy 500 from 1950 to 1964.
