Detroit's Vinsetta Garage will serve food, with Autoweek seasoning

The Vinsetta Garage, a haven for car collectors and enthusiasts on the Detroit area's legendary Woodward Avenue, is making a shift from servicing cars to serving dinner. The Vinsetta Garage, which closed nearly a year ago, will reopen next spring as a restaurant. The project is fueled by Autoweek publisher KC Crain and former Autoweek staffer-turned-award-winning restaurateur Curt Catallo.

BMW has released new images and a lengthy press release detailing the design process for the new 7 Series sedan, set to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October. We'll spare you the hyperbole here, but stay tuned for a Design Review of the Munich-based automaker's new range topping vehicle once we've seen the car in the metal in Paris. TVR sold

By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 22 February 2007 10:30 Russian businessman Nikolai Smolenski is back in charge of the failed TVR business - and looks set to move production abroad. The deal was announced on Thursday evening, after the administrators PKF Partners struck a deal with Smolenski to buy TVR's assets for an undisclosed sum, thought to be in excess of £2m. The Russian businessman bought TVR in 2004 for around £15m, but sales stalled and the Blackpool factory crashed into administration at Christmas time.
