Mon, 12 Sep 2011The Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale Lamborghini teased us back in August with the statement that Frankfurt 2011 would see a ‘Super Sports Car’ arrive from Sant’Agata. We thought it may be a road-going version of the Gallardo Super Trofeo and so it is, with the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale leaking out on the eve of the Frankfurt show. The Super Trofeo Stradale is Lamborghini’s fulfilment of a promise to deliver a new car to every major motor show, but there’s nothing really new about the Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale – it’s really just another lightweight, ‘Limited Edition’ Gallardo.

It is the fourth generation of the company's mid-size offering - the first generation was initially designed by Giugiaro in 1990. Lexus says the new car brings ‘a more engaging driving experience, bolder design and a more spacious, contemporary interior'.
General Motors combines smartphone functions with the Chevrolet Volt
Wed, 06 Jan 2010General Motors is bringing together two of the hottest areas of technology--smartphones and plug-in electric cars. GM's OnStar telematics unit has developed a downloadable application that will let Chevrolet Volt drivers use a Blackberry Storm, Apple iPhone or Motorola Droid to remotely control and monitor some vehicle functions, such as charging. The Volt is slated to go into production late this year and arrive in California utility company fleets by early 2011.
