Mercedes SLS AMG, David Couthard, Golf & a new Guinness world record

David Coulthard drove a Mercedes SLS AMG, Jake Shepherd drove a golf ball and together they created a new Guinness World Record. What’s a good way to get some free PR for a car maker? A Guinness World Record sounds like a good idea (just like MINI in our story earlier today) as does a link to Golf  (lots of drivers play golf) and perhaps a well known name or two.

Jaguar XKR-S - playing at Goodwood ahead of the FoS It’s really quite hard to put the new Jaguar XKR-S in a pigeon hole. You see, it’s not really an out and out supercar – and it doesn’t sport the price tag of one either – but it’s more than just a competent GT car; better than ‘just’ a continent-crusher. The new Suzuki Swift Sport 5-door (pictured) offers a more practical option to the Sport The Suzuki Swift Sport arrived in the UK at the end of 2011, and although it wasn’t exactly the sort of hot hatch that would make a Fiesta ST quake in its boots it did up the fun factor from Suziki’s more than decent Swift. In fact, the 3-door Swift Sport did a bit more than up the fun factor, it got Australia’s advertising authorities up in arms about its ‘suggestive’ advertising and got itself banned from Ozzie TV for being too ‘hot’. Which probably didn’t do sales any harm at all.
