BMW reveals plans for Efficient Dynamics Mk2
Mon, 09 Mar 2009By Ben Whitworth Motor Industry 09 March 2009 09:49 BMW is pushing ahead with its second-generation Efficient Dynamics green car technology – with help from space scientists at NASA. Employing a thermoelectric generator similar in principle to those developed to power satellites will, according to BMW’s head of development Klaus Draeger, boost economy by some 5% on the combined cycle. Expect to see the new Efficient Dynamics tech in showrooms by 2014.
Bill Ford outlines 'Blueprint for Mobility' vision [w/video]
Wed, 29 Feb 2012Ford Motor Company Executive Chairman Bill Ford outlined a plan this week to develop connected cars to combat congestion on the roads in the future. His speech at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain was the first ever to be delivered at the annual communications industry event by an automotive industry executive. Jaguar future products: Small sedan, 'spiritual successor' to the E-type on the way
Tue, 11 Oct 2011Jaguar is expected to add a sports car based on the C-X16 concept shown in September at the Frankfurt auto show. Executives said the car is nearly ready for production. Work also is under way on a compact sedan but that car is a few years away from production, Jaguar officials said.
