A host of luxury and performance cars went under the hammer at the BCA Blackbushe Top Car Auction this week, including a McLaren MP4-12C and a nearly-new Jaguar F-Type. BCA said, "the high-end prestige and sports car market has a strong following with buyers and we have seen lots of interest in high value vehicles during 2013, with bidders prepared to invest six-figure sums for the right vehicle." IAAD exhibition - 'The car that does not exist'

The work of Transportation Design students at the Institute of Applied Arts and Design - Turin, will be shown in an exhibition covering the study and planning of a concept car for Fiat, and a new sedan for Honda. Titled 'The car that does not exist', the exhibition will open on Monday 28th June at the Automobile Museum of Turin (press 2pm, public 6pm) and runs until 2nd September. In addition to the students projects, the exhibition includes historic vehicles and prototypes from both brands.

Ford plans to introduce two-cylinder and three-cylinder engines

Ford Motor Co. will introduce its smallest turbocharged engine yet next year, and on the horizon are even tinier engines--including two- and three-cylinder versions, the automaker's powertrain chief said Monday. Barb Samardzich, Ford vice president of powertrain engineering, said two- and three-cylinder engines and engines with displacements of 1.0 liter or below are possible.
