Audi A8 (2010): the latest spy photos
Thu, 10 Sep 2009By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 10 September 2009 09:56 This is the new 2010 Audi A8, scooped on test in Europe sporting a very BMW-style swirly whirly disguise. The A8 won’t be at next week’s 2009 Frankfurt motor show, and we’re expecting to see it at a later date in 2009 around November time. Audi has already issued a teaser sketch of the new A8’s headlamp, but now we can see the full dimensions and shape for the first time.
EV charging points 'to top 100,000 by 2020'
Fri, 06 Jun 2014THERE will be more than 10 times the number of electric car charging points as petrol stations by 2020 – and that’s just one of the planned networks. According to POD Point CEO Erik Fairbairn, the conditions are beginning to emerge to allow electric and plug-in hybrid cars to flourish, leading to an explosion in charge point installations in the coming years that could top 100,000 just in POD Point’s own infrastructure. There are currently fewer than 9,000 petrol stations on British roads.

The addition of unpainted bumpers and lower body cladding, along with some metallic-effect details is a clear attempt to stem the flood of buyers choosing cars such as the Nissan Qashquai. It may be little more than an Allroad-style makeover rather than a new format but it speaks volumes in terms of how the family car market has shifted and not only in Europe.
