Much of the historic site will be sold and turned into offices and homes. It brings to an end a long and distinguished history of car and carriage making at Newport Pagnell - stretching all the way back to the 1820s.

The compact, lightweight and mid-engined sports car is a departure from anything Alfa Romeo is producing at the moment. Saab were adamant that the quote attributed to the Pangda Chairman that the Saab deal was no longer valid was a ‘misunderstanding’.
