Carroll Shelby Hand Signed Sports Illustrated Magazine 1957.  Incredible Collectible Opportunity. This issue features Carroll Shelby Hand signed cover and a five page article "The Gentle Leadfoot"  = "Carroll Shelby is America's hottest driver and principal hope at Sebring". The article talks about his childhood, military service, cars he owned, His races, and much more. This issue also includes articles on "1957 Chevrolet Corvette SS Race Car  Zora Arkus-Duntov".  The top 10 baseball rookies of 1957 (Brooks Robinson, Tony Kubek, Roger Maris, and seven others).  Also, Wilt Chamberlain as a college player at Kansas, and Ben Hogan's Third lesson on  fundamentals of golf. All of these features have made this issue very, very, difficult to find! The few that Carroll has signed are RARE!!     Carroll signed four of these, for me, several years ago.           Shipping cost, priority mail, $5.35. (I will pay shipping Insurance)

Condition:  The front cover , upper right corner, shows slight wear (see picture). Wear spot is approx. 1" X 3/4".  The corner is not missing but color is worn off.    Several pages show slight watermarks in the same area (top right hand corner). The spine is in great condition, all pages are in tact and tight, no loose or missing pages. All pages are in great condition.  If you are not satisfied, you can return for refund!!

Michiganders don't have to wait for the Woodward Dream Cruise to see an epic car collection in their home state. Car collector Ken Lingenfelter, cousin of the renowned NHRA racer John Lingenfelter, is opening his private garage--er, warehouse--to the public this Saturday. For $15, guests can see Ken Lingenfelter's collection of more than 150 vehicles, with proceeds going to the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology.

This year's College of Creative Studies' Cultural Immersion Workshop saw 10 design professionals from Asia – seven of which had never been Stateside before – tour the Midwest on a cultural exploration mission as they sought to provide a fresh perspective on American car culture... in just 27 days. This trip provided the foundation for the innovative concepts that were unveiled at the college on 16 August.
