Winner of the Chrysler Design Excellence Award at the 2008 Specialty Equipment Market Association show in Las Vegas last November, the Group 2 Challenger moves from concept to production this month as Michigan-based Classic Design Concepts begins building its version of the Dodge performance coupe. As exclusively predicted by CAR Online last month, the EC is proposing an average CO2 limit of 130g/km by 2012 - down from an average of 162g/km last year. Manufacturers missing the new target would be fined heavily.
