Catalina 22 Jib Sail Please consider this sail to be a moderately used sail. Maker is North Sails. The body of the material is in good condition. No visible damage. Graphics have been removed. Could use a cleaning. Has some very small mildew dots. Some soiling and staining. Luff = 299". Foot = 155". About a 155% New retail for this sail is in excess of $650. We have tons and tons of used sailboat parts. Everything from hulls to sails and all the little stuff thats hard to find. If you are needing something for your Hobie, Nacra, Prindle or Solcat and don't see it on auction, send me an email and I will be glad to list it for you if we have it. Please remember all our parts are used and expect them to show signs of use. Most could stand to be cleaned or polished. If we see any noticable defects, we make every effort to point them out. Apple and Ferrari—What could be better?
Thu, 08 Nov 2012Recently a press release popped into my email (remember when we used to say “came across my desk”?) that said Eddy Cue, Apple's head of Internet software and services, has joined Ferrari's board of directors. The statement said while on the board Cue, a Ferrari owner, will “aid with his experience in Internet-based commerce.” My two cents: It's a brilliant move for both parties, and the ramifications could be huge. Think about it: Does this mean Apple wants to make stuff for cars?
Vauxhall Adam: Prices & on sale at Paris 2012
Tue, 14 Aug 2012The new Vauxhall Adam (and its European sibling, the Opel Adam) have their debut at the Paris Motor Show when the order book opens. We’re still not entirely convinced that the Vauxhall Adam has enough individuality to be a star in the marketplace, but it looks a decent offering nonetheless. Its styling is distinctly generic – it looks like a mish-mash of ideas from successful competitors – but Vauxhall is promising much for the Adam with extreme levels of customisation and lots of high-end toys, even if many will be cost options.
