Vencer has launched a new interactive design contest that offers cash prizes and the unique opportunity to see the winning design developed into the automaker's next model. The Dutch supercar maker, which has produced just one model to date, the Vencer Sarthe, decided to start a worldwide community-driven development of a new car during the design process for the Sarthe, which formed the basis for this contest. On 13 December 2013 at 13.00 CET, Vencer will establish the participants with the most ‘likes' amongst those who met the conditions.

Ford Motor Co. has named Mark Fields its chief operating officer, putting him in line to succeed CEO Alan Mulally when he retires no sooner than the end of 2014. The appointment of Fields, 51, who has been president of Ford's Americas unit, was part of a sweeping overhaul of executive ranks unveiled Thursday.
