GEARSHIFT FORKS AND SHAFT REMOVED FROM MY 1980 CB900 CUSTOM

Condition as shown. No abnormal wear. Engine was running (but had low compression on cylinders 1 and 4 due to bad valves and rings) and transmission was working and shifting fine before I decided to part the bike out.

Most of the rest of the transmission components (main shaft and gears, countershaft and gears, shift drum, gearshift spindle, shift pawl, cam plate, pins, cam plate base plate, collar) off this bike are also available, and I will combine shipping.

From what I’ve seen on line, these were also used on:

CB750F 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982

CB750K 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982

CB750L 1979 Limited

CB750C 1980, 1981, 1982

CB750SC 1982, 1983 Nighthawk

CB900C 1980, 1981, 1982 Custom

CB900F 1981, 1982 Super Sport

CB1000C 1983

CB1100F 1983

But please do your own research, compare carefully, ask questions, and/or verify with your dealer, mechanic or other reliable source before before purchasing.

See any incorrect information? Please let me know!

Last summer I parted out my 1980 Honda CB900 Custom, which I had owned since 1982. About all that is left are the engine and transmission components, and some miscellaneous parts (foot pegs, wiring harnesses, levers, clamps, brackets, relays, etc.). All of the higher demand parts (gas tank, side covers, exhaust, gages, headlamp, fenders, chrome trim, controls, handlebars, charging system, ignition system, air shocks, brakes, oil pump, starter) have been sold off. However, if there is a specific part you are looking for feel free to ask about it using the “Ask a question” link.

Please don't bid if you want these parts to be new, because they aren’t. But I did take very good care of this bike. The bike was never in an accident. Many of the parts are as good as you’ll be able to find; all of the parts will be good enough to get your bike on the road again. Every part will have something wrong as they are used (and 33 years old). If it's bad, I try to mention it, but I don’t list every scuff, dimple, scratch, pit, or rust spot. Please do look at my feedback on parts from this bike which have been sold.

Shipping cost is based on actual package weight, size, and zip code (unless using USPS Flat Rate boxes) and generally only includes a “handling” charge if I have to purchase shipping materials (to cover the cost); mostly I use recycled shipping materials and try to ship the most economical method. I will combine shipping, but doing so may delay shipping a day or two as I will need to repackage your items.

·         I do my best to accurately and honestly describe all items, but since this is a used item and I have no control over its installation or usage, it is sold “As-Is".

·         If there is a problem with your item, please let me know before leaving neutral or negative feedback, as I would like the opportunity to make it right. I try to always leave feedback after you are satisfied.

·         Local pick up is welcome. Please contact me for payment options for local pick up

One Lap of the Web: Aural delights and a Citro

Thu, 20 Mar 2014

-- Ayrton Senna positively dominated the 1990 Monaco Grand Prix: he came in with the fastest qualifying lap, started on pole, set the fastest lap, led every single one of them, won the thing, beating rival Alain Prost in the process, then went on to win the 1990 World Championship. The above video was what it's like to ride onboard with the brilliant Brazilian in his McLaren-Honda, which screams like a madman down the Monaco tunnel. -- Five Citro
