AIR PRESSURE WARNING CONTROL UNIT REMOVED FROM MY 1980 HONDA CB900C CUSTOM
At least that’s what I believe it to be. Honda parts diagrams call this the “Control Unit”. I’ve also seen it described as the Taillight Relay, Fuel Cut Out Control Relay, Shindengen Relay, Lighting Regulator, etc.
Per my Clymer Honda CB900 Fours service and repair manual wiring diagram, one lead (LB wire) goes to the air sensor, one (G) to ground, one (B/W) to the air pressure warning light, one (P) to air indicator sensor, and one (Bk/Br) to the fuse box (where the 12V power comes from).
To the best of my knowledge, the low air pressure sensor and warning light were working properly on my bike, so this control unit must be also. Terminals are free of corrosion.
Based on what I’ve seen on line, this is used on:
CB900C Custom 1980, 1981, 1982
GL1100 Goldwing Standard Street 1980-82
GL1100I Interstate Touring 1980-82
GL1100A Aspencade 1982
But please do your own research, compare carefully, ask questions, and/or verify with your dealer, mechanic or other reliable source before before purchasing.
See any incorrect information? Please let me know!
Last summer I parted out my 1980 Honda CB900 Custom, which I had owned since 1982. About all that is left are the engine and transmission components, and some miscellaneous parts (foot pegs, wiring harnesses, levers, clamps, brackets, relays, etc.). All of the higher demand parts (gas tank, side covers, exhaust, gages, headlamp, fenders, chrome trim, controls, handlebars, charging system, ignition system, air shocks, brakes, oil pump, starter) have been sold off. However, if there is a specific part you are looking for feel free to ask about it using the “Ask a question” link.
Please don't bid if you want these parts to be new, because they aren’t. But I did take very good care of this bike. The bike was never in an accident. Many of the parts are as good as you’ll be able to find; all of the parts will be good enough to get your bike on the road again. Every part will have something wrong as they are used (and 33 years old). If it's bad, I try to mention it, but I don’t list every scuff, dimple, scratch, pit, or rust spot. Please do look at my feedback on parts from this bike which have been sold.
Shipping cost is based on actual package weight, size, and zip code (unless using USPS Flat Rate boxes) and generally only includes a “handling” charge if I have to purchase shipping materials (to cover the cost); mostly I use recycled shipping materials and try to ship the most economical method. I will combine shipping, but doing so may delay shipping a day or two as I will need to repackage your items.
· I do my best to accurately and honestly describe all items, but since this is a used item and I have no control over its installation or usage, it is sold “As-Is”.
· If there is a problem with your item, please let me know before leaving neutral or negative feedback, as I would like the opportunity to make it right. I try to always leave feedback after you are satisfied.
· Local pick up is welcome. Please contact me for payment options for local pick up.
