Despite differences in dimensions and weight, Skoda are claiming the same 99g/km emissions and 74.3mpg for both saloon and Spaceback, practically perfect if you’re a company car driver.
Near miss for family as car ploughs into house
Mon, 12 May 2014A FAMILY of four had a lucky escape after a car ploughed into their home in Coventry, demolishing the front door and ending up in the hallway. The car's male driver also walked away uninjured from his blue Audi S-line saloon after the accident happened at about 6.45pm on Saturday, West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) said. However, his female passenger had to be freed from the wreck by firefighters before being taken to hospital with neck, pelvic and leg injuries.
Toll road plans 'to be scrapped'
Tue, 03 Dec 2013CONTROVERSIAL plans to create the UK's first toll road for a decade are to be dropped, it was reported. Improvements to the A14 will instead be paid for by the Government, the Financial Times said. The proposed toll is part of a scheme to widen and improve a heavily congested 25-mile stretch in East Anglia which carries traffic from the port of Felixstowe to the Midlands.
