CDI Electronics T Adapter Peak Reading Volt CDI-5119773

DVA stands for Direct Voltage Adapter, which is used to measure peak AC voltage. This type of measurement of AC voltage takes the absolute peak or highest value of the fluctuating AC voltage signal. Peak readings will be substantially higher than standard or RMS AC values and are typically used when testing marine CD (capacitor discharge) ignition systems due to their high variance in frequency as RPM increases and decreases. The only meters that have built-in peak reading capabilities are analog meters with built-in DVA.Digital meters do not have built-in peak reading capabilities. In order for a digital meter to read peak voltage, one will need a DVA adapte. Using a DVA adapter, a digital meter must be set to its DC voltage scale. Peak AC voltage is the measurement, but the DVA adapter has a built-in bridge rectifier, which converts AC to DC. The DC voltage setting on a digital meter is required to accurately read DVA.SKU: CDI-5119773

Fri, 01 Apr 2011

A few weeks ago our spies snapped a BMW M3 pick-up being thrashed around the Nuburgring by M Division engineers, and now BMW has released the official pictures of its one-off M3 ute. It's a one-off, but it's not an April Fool's joke – this car exists, and M Division has plans for its future. So what's this BMW M3 Pick-Up all about?

This is the Peugeot EX1, a two-seat electric roadster concept car built to celebrate the French brand’s 200th anniversary. And the EX1 will let Peugeot usher in its bicentennial in style as it’s just notched up a number of electric car world records. It’s almost entirely carbonfibre, and the rear-hinged doors contain the seats, so you sit on the buckets before swinging your whole body into the metal and leather-lined cockpit.

Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible (2013) first official pictures

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

You wait ages for a new Corvette, and then six weeks after the new Stingray bows in at the 2013 Detroit atuo show, its soft-top sister is revealed at the Geneva motor show. The latest C7-generation Corvette drop-top uses the same mechanical package (big V8 up front, power sent to the rear wheels) as its fixed-head sister but adds an electrically-folding soft-top roof that you can lower remotely via pushing a button on the key fob. You can also drop the roof while on the move, at speed of up to 31mph.
