Elemental RP1 sports car (2014): first pictures of Britain’s newest track car

By Jonny Edge First Official Pictures 23 June 2014 15:58 The frighteningly lightweight Elemental RP1 emerged fully for the first time today, ahead of its public debut at this week’s Goodwood Festival of Speed 2014. At its heart, the 450kg RP1 has a unique carbon-composite tub based on the designs of contemporary race cars. The driver will sit 'feet up', allowing for greater underfloor downforce, which goes some way to explaining how the car achieves a quoted 200kg of downforce at 100mph.

Interior Motives Design Awards 2013

Earlier this evening, the world's top designers and automotive journalists gathered together at the Moon13 club in Frankfurt to watch sponsors Ford and Volkswagen reveal the 2013 Interior Motives Student Design of the Year: ‘Audi O Concept' by Nir Siegel, Cherica Haye and Hanchul Lee of London's Royal College of Art. Launched in January of this year and themed ‘The Connected Car', this year's contest attracted hundreds of entries from students spread across every corner of the globe. Alfa Romeo teases production 4C sportscar

Alfa Romeo has revealed the first official teaser image of its 4C sports car. The 4C, which is expected to debut in March at this year's Geneva Motor Show, was first seen in concept form at the 2011 edition of the show. The image shows a set of alloys that also featured on the concept, indicating that the production version shouldn't be much different from the concept.
