VW Race Touareg 3 (2011) first pictures

Fri, 20 Aug 2010

You might usually associate the Volkswagen Touareg with school-run mums whose furthest foray off-road is up the kerb and onto a wet field – this is something different, this is the new VW Race Touareg 3. That there is, and it’s the Race Touareg 2 that’s taken the chequered flag at the last two Dakar rallies, becoming the first diesel-powered winner in 2009. Fri, 11 Aug 2006

By Angus Fitton Motor Industry 11 August 2006 10:36 Three new six-cylinder engines are joining the BMW 3-Series range. Top of the pile – until the V8 M3 arrives – is the 335d, which runs the twin-turbo 3.0-litre diesel engine offered in the 5-series. An explosive 428lb ft of torque (that's more than the V10 M5) and 286bhp means it can surge to 62mph in only 6.2sec.

Ford Kuga teaser sketch

Thu, 19 Jul 2007

By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 19 July 2007 07:05 Ford has released a sketch of its new mid-sized 4x4, and a name: Kuga Ford is reviving an old name - but with a new spelling - for its first European 4x4. The Kuga will appear at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, and it's the latest model to feature Ford’s ‘kinetic design’ language. The look has been pioneered by Ford Europe’s executive design director Martin Smith, and it was first seen on the Iosis concept that previewed the current Mondeo.
