Cameras to catch illegal parking on the school run

Schools and councils across the country are turning to CCTV to enforce parking restrictions during the school run – and a new low-cost camera system is set to make this even easier in the coming months. According to reports in the Sunday Times and the Daily Mail, the new surveillance system costs as little as £16,000, and is able to record and recognise the number plates of illegally parked cars outside schools. It now gets the large signature jet fighter grille from its bigger Lancer brother, alongside a whole new front end, interior changes and a Ralliart version.  It’s not just a nose job, honest. The rear of the car gets smaller lights rather than the previous full-length ones, partly for ease of crash repair, and interior ergonomics have been improved – the rear seats now fold flat for instance.

Eterniti Motors sells first Eterniti Artemis at Beijing auto show

Eterniti Motors, which first showed us the Hemera super SUV concept in Frankfurt, then the production version--called the Artemis--in Beijing, sold its first car at the Chinese show. The company took five orders for the Eterniti Artemis, four in standard specification and one bespoke version. The standard Artemis SUV costs $337,500, converted from British pounds.
