For example, sports cars like the Bugatti Veyron and Pagani Huayra have astronomically high performance and safety levels; similarly, sport-utility vehicles that haul entire families (and most of their earthly possessions) achieve fuel economy similar to that of 1970s midsize sedans. Peugeot to create UK’s largest car wash for Children in Need
Tue, 22 Oct 2013Peugeot is once again getting set to raise money for Children in Need. Following on from 2012’s Dream Wheels campaign, for 2013 Peugeot is setting up the UK’s largest charity car wash. The Peugeot Children in Need car wash will run at Peugeot sites across the country 5-10 November, with a fund-raising target of £250,000.
BMW looks to patent seven-speed lockout manual transmission
Fri, 08 Jun 2012The intrepid Bimmerphiles over at www.e90post.com have uncovered a few drawings from BMW's latest patent request. The drawing shows a new transmission linkage and what looks to be a seven-speed manual transmission. Like the new Porsche 911, the BMW gear shifter has six gears in standard H pattern, with a seventh gear out to the right.
