UAW: GM, Chrysler may not need additional federal funds

UAW President Ron Gettelfinger said today that General Motors and Chrysler LLC may not need additional federal loans beyond the $17.4 billion approved by the White House. "If we can get by without more money, that's what we want to do," Gettelfinger told Automotive News in an interview at Solidarity House in Detroit. He said how well the money holds out will depend on sales volume this year.

Honda have introduced a new 'Sporty' Civic - The Honda Civic Si The new Honda Civic Si is being made available across the whole five-door Civic range, regardless of engine or transmission. Sixty years ago, Jaguar test driver Norman Dewis posted a then-world record 172.4 mph flying mile in a Jaguar XK120. The car had no seat and a perspex bubble was fitted over the cockpit to improve airflow. Over last weekend, Jaguar returned to the site of that famous run: Jabbeke, Belgium.
