Ford opens online reservations for the 2012 Focus electric
Wed, 02 Nov 2011People can now place their online orders for the 2012 Ford Focus electric, Ford's first all-electric passenger car. The electric Focus carries a base sticker price of $39,995 including shipping charges, but that price does not reflect any tax credits available. The electric Focus comes standard with MyFord Touch with an eight-inch touch screen, two 4.2-inch color LCD displays in the gauge cluster for EV monitoring screens, and the MyFord Mobile App for remotely monitoring the charge status of the lithium-ion battery.
Karmann-Ghia Coupé redesigned by Brazilian students
Wed, 31 Jul 2013The winners of the Karmann-Ghia Brazilian student competition to design a modern interpretation of its classic Volkswagen Karmann-Ghia Coupé have been revealed. Over almost 60 years the German-Italian company has become an important supplier of car bodies and tooling in Brazil, but the market has lacked a model carrying the Karmann-Ghia badge since the '70s. The original coupé, which inspired the contest, was launched in Brazil in 1962 and remained in the market for 10 years before it was replaced by the Volkswagen SP – considered the first car completely developed in the country.
Ford puts Volvo up for sale

This hardly comes as a surprise when you see the precarious state of Ford. It’s busy going cap-in-hand to the US government looking for a bail out, and selling off Volvo could add several hundred million pounds to its decimated balance sheet.
