The classic car market is booming and there have been not one, but two, auctions of beautiful historic cars in Paris in the past week alone. We've already reported on the inaugural RM Auctions Paris sale, which saw nearly £15 million's worth of the world’s rarest and most exotic cars going under the hammer, including a Jaguar D-type that sold for more than £3 million. New JLR Engine Plant to be built in Wolverhampton Update 19th September: Jaguar has now confirmed our story, although the cost is expected to be £335 million and the number of new jobs 750. We’d guess the 2,00 jobs we quoted in the original story includes jobs created in the supply chain. Work is expected to start on the new engine plant in early 2012.

Korean Grand Prix Qualifying: Vettel on Pole for Red Bull Sebastian Vettel may not the the most popular man in Formula One at the moment, especially after he claimed the reason his car was so good was that Red Bull worked whilst the rest of F1 played. But F1 isn’t a popularity contest, so Vettel’s arrogance – channelled in to his driving – sees  him sitting in a commanding position, once again, in the drivers championship – 60 points clear of Fernando Alonso – as we go in to the Korean Grand Prix. And if this morning’s display is anything to go by, the only thing that will stop Vettel taking yet another drivers championship is mechanical failure.
