2013 Subaru Forester revealed

The new Subaru Forester – a 2014 Forester for the US – has been revealed ahead of a debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show this month. The Forester still looks like a Forester although it is a bit longer, wider and taller and gets a longer wheelbase which, say Subaru, means more space in the back seats and more room ion the boot. There are cosmetic tweaks with a crease running down the flanks under the window line, a new grill and bumpers, new alloys and a more slick feel to the looks. There’s extra toys too with a new Infotainment centre with smartphone integration, SatNav with reversing camera and a nice upmarket Harmon Kardon sound system.

The Fiat 500 CULT (pictured) arrives to top the 500 range The revived Fiat 500 has been with us for some time as Fiat’s take on the MINI retro revival, and it’s still appealing and relevant. Headlining the new offerings for the 500 for 2014 is the arrival of the Fiat 500 CULT to top the range, taking the Lounge Spec and adding in stuff like new 16″ alloys, fixed glass sunroof, Blue&Me, Chrome detailing, rear parking sensors and leather interior.

Volvo to launch new F1-inspired engine range

Volvo has revealed an all-new super-efficient range of engines called DRIVE-E. When launched later this year, the new motors will become some of the most high-tech engines on sale. Uniquely, the new engine range is based around just two basic four-cylinder designs – one direct-injection petrol engine and one common rail turbodiesel.
