Mitsubishi Concept PX-MiEV (2009) unveiled

By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 01 October 2009 15:20 This is the Mitsubishi Concept PX-MiEV, the Japanese car company’s star attraction at this month’s 2009 Tokyo motor show. The concept tag is obvious, but the PX part designates the show car as a plug-in hybrid crossover, and MiEV stands for Mitsubishi innovative Electric Vehicle. Externally the PX-MiEV drops heavy hints towards the styling of the next Outlander, but Mitsubishi has pared back the design and purposely avoided adding the 'rugged'’ elements so common to SUVs.

Ford and Dodge upgrade police patrol vehicles for Michigan State Police test day

Ford touted the addition of its 3.7-liter V6 engine to its Police Interceptor sedan, and Dodge boasted about the new Charger Pursuit with all-wheel drive on Thursday. That can only mean that the Michigan State Police force is doing its yearly vehicle testing, and two of the Detroit Three are trying to get noticed. Nissan drops GT-R engine in the Juke-R: Video

Nissan, in its quest to garner as many Facebook “likes” as possible, released the fourth video in its Juke-R series. This clip shows Nissan engineers planning how to shoehorn the massive 3.8-liter, twin-turbo V6 from the GT-R in the Juke's engine bay, made for a 1.6-liter. First they had to support the frame by welding a jig in place.
