The most popular aircraft in the world should have the product with the best performance record in the world. That, of course, is Met-Co-Aire’s Hoerner style wing tip.

Designed from military research and applied to civilian aircraft, the Hoerner wing tip is one of the best modifications you can make to your aircraft. Our wing tip gives improvements in all of the important areas of aircraft performance, and usually costs less than a replacement part.

Our design reduces drag while smoothing the airflow along the wing and control surfaces. By minimizing the vortices caused by the wing and actually having them start later, our tip gives performance increases without the usual penalties. We CAN get increases in climb and in cruise. We CAN reduce stall without adversely affecting handling. You may not think you’re taking off from a carrier, but you may think you are flying a new plane.

Typical Improvements are:
• Increase cruise 2-4 mph
• Increase rate of climb 75-100 ft./min.
• Increase stability with more positive aileron control
• Decrease stall speed 4-5 mph
• Decrease distance for take-off
• Gives a modern, more aerodynamic profile

All Met-Co-Aire products are constructed of hand laid up, aircraft grade fiberglass in a polyester resin matrix. They come covered with a white gel-coat that serves as a primer for painting. Our Cessna tips come with both FAA STC and PMA approvals and are covered by our Three Star Guarantee: Increased performance. Best product quality. Lowest price.

Wearing dresses by designer Bob Mackie, three female models also posed for the cameras. Mackie, who is known for dressing a number of celebrities, including Cher, originally designed the dresses to be worn in the 1983 North American International Auto Show.

Porsche 911 50 Years Edition celebrates the 911′s half century

Tue, 04 Jun 2013

The Porsche 911 50 Years Edition (pictured) celebrates half a century of the 911 If you’d guessed how much the Porsche 911 would change in the coming years when it was first launched in 1963, there’s a pretty strong chance you’d have decided the shape would change out of all recognition and the engine would move from the back to the front. But you’d have been wrong. The Porsche 911, perhaps more than any other car ever made, has evolved over its 50 years of life instead of being replaced by a new and ‘better’ car.

2013 Mercedes SLS Electric Drive: Paris 2012

Thu, 27 Sep 2012

The electric SLS – the Mercedes SLS Electric Drive – has been shown at Paris 2012 ahead of a 2013 launch. Mercedes are billing the electric SLS as the most powerful production electric car in the world, and with an output of 740 horses from its four electric motors – one at each corner – that’s no surprise. That output – and a torque figure of 738lb/ft – makes the electric SLS a whole heap more powerful than its ICE counterpart and allows it to get to 62mph in 3.9 seconds.
