Jaguar E-Type 50th Celebrations
Thu, 27 Jan 2011The Jaguar E-Type is 50 If there is one car that defines a generation – and its maker – it’s the Jaguar E-Type. Launched to an astonished public in 1961, the E-Type Jag offered the promise of 150mph performance, all wrapped up in a body so glorious even Enzo Ferrari was moved to call it “The most beautiful car in the World”. Ford is simply trying (increasingly desperately) to off-load Volvo, but GM, which is in a much more precarious position than Ford, has now abandoned its Swedish child in a desperate attempt to appease Congress and survive.
