This auction is for a Cessna wing lift strut faring. It is new old stock, having never been drilled for mounting screws or installed onto an aircraft. This strut fairing is manufactured from high strength fiber glass cloth. It is very light weight and very thin, not thick like the strut fairing made from plastic. I believe this fairing will fit a Cessna 180 or 182 upper left strut attachment, although it is not cut out for the tie down ring. It may also be designed to fit some other model of Cessna aircraft so please look at the pictures closely and measure your strut to be sure this part will fit your aircraft. There is a manufacture's part number written on the back of the fairing that reads "R 125" plus one other mark as you can see.  The strut opening measures approximately 5 1/4" by 1 5/8", and the length of the cover is 10 3/4" by 6 1/2" wide.   The Port Townsend Aero Museum received this strut fairing as part of a large donation made to us by a gentleman who was retiring from his long time aircraft repair business. This part was included in his inventory of used parts which he deemed "serviceable" or as "core".  As with any used aircraft part  you will need to have your licensed aircraft mechanic determine the airworthiness of this part prior to installation into your aircraft.

This fairing is being offered for auction by the Port Townsend Aero Museum in Port Townsend Washington. We are a non-profit 501 C-3 organization that is dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and operation of antique and classic aircraft through the involvement of our local youth population. If you have a minute you can learn more about our aero museum on the internet by searching for Port Townsend Aero Museum.

The winning bidder will need to contact us within 24 hours regarding payment. Payment is due within 72 hours of the auction closing. Paypal is our preferred method of payment. Overseas bidders must use Paypal if they win the bid.

Thank you.
