This auction is for a Chance Vought Aircraft Hydraulic Cylinder. It is part number CV18-901031-2, and serial number 57-G-5. This hydraulic cylinder is used but looks to be in very good condition.  I do not know what model of aircraft this part was designed to fit, but if you needed one it looks like it could be hard to find and very expensive when you did. It measures 14" long in the compressed state and the ram measures 15/16" in diameter. Since we have no way to hook this unit up to a pressure source I do not know what the extension is on the ram.

The Port Townsend Aero Museum received this Chance Vought hydraulic cylinder as part of a large donation made to us by a gentleman who was retiring from his long time aircraft repair business. This part was included in his inventory of used parts which he deemed "serviceable" or as "core".  We are selling this cylinder as removed and "as is" with no warranty. As with any used aircraft part you will need to have this pump inspected and signed off as Airworthy prior to installation into your aircraft.

This cylinder is being offered for auction by the Port Townsend Aero Museum in Port Townsend Washington. We are a non-profit 501 C-3 organization that is dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and operation of antique and classic aircraft through the involvement of our local youth population. If you have a minute you can learn more about our aero museum on the internet by searching for Port Townsend Aero Museum.

The winning bidder will need to contact us within 24 hours regarding payment. Payment is due within 72 hours of the auction closing. Paypal is our preferred method of payment. Overseas bidders must use Paypal if they win the bid.

Thank you.

Hamilton targets winning streak

Thu, 19 Jun 2014

LEWIS HAMILTON knows he needs another run of four successive victories if he is to overhaul team-mate Nico Rosberg in the race for this year's Formula One world title. It is a feat Hamilton managed earlier this campaign after Mercedes rival Rosberg won the season-opening grand prix in Australia where the Briton retired. Hamilton then triumphed in Malaysia, Bahrain, China and Spain, clawing back the 25-point deficit, with Rosberg forced to settle for the runner-up spot on each occasion.

Warning over minicab 'free-for-all'

Mon, 23 Jun 2014

RAPE AND sex assaults could rise due to plans to allow minicab owners to lend their vehicles out to anyone when not at work, police bosses have warned. A cross-party group of Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) across England and Wales said planned deregulation will lead to a "free-for-all". Currently, only licensed private hire drivers can drive a marked private hire vehicle, drivers have to be regularly re-licensed and there are restrictions on vehicles operating across local authority boundaries.
