Mercedes Weighs Into Super Saloon Market With Potent AMG-Tuned S-Class

WHEN eight cylinders just isn’t enough for your high performance luxury saloon, Mercedes has unveiled the solution to your problem: and S-Class boasting twelve cylinders, twin-turbocharging, 630 horsepower and a whopping 737lb ft of torque. One in five suffers 'car envy'

DRIVERS in the UK are more likely to give way to classic or unusual cars such as a Citroen 2CV or Volkswagen Beetle, but one in five also admits they are less likely to be courteous to large 4x4s due to car envy, according to a survey. Nearly a half (47%) of UK motorists say they leave more space between their car and the one in front if the car ahead is driven by an elderly driver. The weight saving extends to the interior of the TT ultra quattro concept too, with carbon fibre used for the door and centre console trims and glass-fibre reinforced plastic base for the seats which saves 22kh alone. But despite the weight savings Audi hasn’t made the TT ultra quattro concept a hair shirt outing with goodies like leather seats, AirCon and electric windows still on offer.
