Stock MC and other opposite rotation (RH) engines come with cast iron roller or hydraulic lifter camshafts, and you must use a cast iron distributor gear and not bronze, composite or other! Mixing these alloys up causes pre-mature gear and engine failure. Our cast iron gears are hardened to RC50 to 55 (GM specs) to assure you of compatibility of correct metals and longest life. Includes hardened roll pin for mounting.
We have two different Chev reverse rotation part numbers available. Our 2533 in this listing fits the standard GM distributor with a .491 shaft diameter.
