UP FOR AUCTION IS A VERY NICE ORIGINAL BLACK FOUR SPOKE SPORT S/S STEERING WHEEL. I GOT THIS STEERING WHEEL WITH A 1971 CHEVELLE THAT I RECENTLY PURCHASED, IT WAS REMOVED FROM THE CAR MANY YEARS AGO AND PROPERLY STORED. THIS STEERING WHEEL STILL HAS NICE GRAIN ON IT WITH VERY LITTLE WEAR AND ITS NOT STICKY LIKE MOST. THE S/S EMBLEM LOOKS NEW AND THERE ARE NO BROKEN TABS ON THE HORN BUTTON. IT COMES COMPLETE WITH ALL OF THE HORN PARTS PLUNGER, SPRING AND RETAINER AS PICTURED. OVERALL JUST A VERY NICE ORIGINAL G/M STEERING WHEEL. While the American auto industry spent most of the late ‘60s creating huge barges powered by monstrous engines with loud decals on disco paint jobs, AMC believed in the future of compact cars, fuel economy, and go-faster stripes. Designed under Richard Teague's supervision, the quirky Amitron was unveiled in 1967 in a hotel in Detroit. Measuring less than 2,200mm long, it is 350mm shorter than a Smart Fortwo and its wide track gave room for three passengers seating abreast.

New Citroen Grand C4 Picasso (pictured) price from £19,200 It’s been six months since the new Citroen Grand C4 Picasso was revealed, but Citroen UK has finally got round to putting it on sale and coming up with a price. The seven-seat Grand C4 Picasso starts at £19,200 for the entry-level 1.6 litre 120bhp VTR petrol rising to £27,855 for the all-singing Exclusive+ with the 150bhp 2.0 litre diesel. That’s £1,700 more than the five-seat C4 Picasso.

Banks and Dallenbach ready for Pikes Peak with 1,400 hp

Not content to rest on his laurels after developing new diesel engines for military applications, Gale Banks and his company Banks Power will run a 1,400-hp, 1,301 lb-ft methanol-fueled vehicle up the now completely paved course at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, which is scheduled to take place Aug. 8-12. Banks teamed up with Paul Dallenbach and Leonard Arnold of Dallenbach Racing for the occasion.
