This is a tailgate removed from a 1967 Chevelle wagon that we parted out 35 years ago. The gate was put into an old storage trailer and forgotten. The trailer is falling apart so we are cleaning it out and finding forgotten treasures! The gate was only average when saved but time has made it a hard to find part in this area. Has a rust hole on lower left inside, this is the end it stood on for all the years. The rotting wood on floor of storage held moisture to cause rust. The rest of bottom is very solid, window rolls up and down. Hinges are there but stuck will need lubrication. Handle is missing ball that latches into closed position. No key for lock. The lower moulding was cracked and has a rivet holding in place. It should be direct fit for 1966 or 67 Chevelle may fit 64 & 65 also but I think trim is different. May also fit Pontiac Lemans or Tempest, Oldmobile F85 or Cutlas, buick Special or Skylark. Sold as is with local pick up in Gardiner Maine 04345. Toyota ordered by Japan to address Prius brake complaints
Wed, 03 Feb 2010Toyota Motor Corp., already grappling with recalls totaling 8.1 million vehicles on five continents, has been ordered by Japan's Ministry of Transportation to investigate a rash of consumer complaints about braking problems in its popular third-generation Prius hybrid vehicle. The Japanese carmaker has received several complaints about braking in the Prius in both Japan and North America since the end of last year, Toyota spokeswoman Ririko Takeuchi said. She did not say when the directive was issued or how Toyota would respond.
