New Volvo V40 R-Design. UPDATED
Tue, 11 Sep 2012We have the first photos of Volvo’s sporty take on the new V40 – the Volvo V40 R Design – ahead of a debut at the Paris Motor Show. Update: Volvo has now caught up with this story, so we’ve added a few more photos and a video. The V40 R-Design will be available as an option across all the V40′s range of engines but the Sport suspension still remains an option, not standard.
2016 Subaru WRX STI will get the WRX Concept’s looks
Sun, 15 Jun 2014The next Subaru WRX STI should look a lot like the WRX Concept (above) Subaru fans were delighted that the new Subaru WRX STI – revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in January – was actually going to make it to the UK, and at a price that isn’t too barking at £29k. But the joy that the new Scooby was heading for Subaru’s UK showrooms was tempered somewhat by its looks, looks that owed far more to the last generation WRX STI than the stunning Subaru WRX Concept we saw at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year. The WRX Concept was everything we hoped the Scooby could be, with form being allowed to come to the fore rather than being a result of function, and making the WRX far more appealing.
Nissan 370Z unveiled at LA Auto Show
Wed, 19 Nov 2008By Ben Pulman Motor Shows 19 November 2008 17:10 Nissan pulled the wraps of its new 370Z coupe at today’s LA Auto Show, and confirmed that a Roadster version will arrive within the next 12 months. Topping the list of 370Z talking points are a shorter wheelbase, a larger engine, a seven-speed automatic and the world’s first rev-matching six-speed manual gearbox. Nissan dubs it the ‘SynchroRev Match’ function (they would, wouldn't they?), and it essentially blips the throttle to smooth out any shifts.
