This is a lightly used set of Pedders Springs for your Cobalt/HHR/G5 (front and rear set). They were on my car for roughly 500 (yes, five hundred) miles. There is nothing wrong with them and show no signs of rust. There are a few paint scuffs but that is about it. Keep in mind, these are NOT lowering springs. Yes, they do drop the ride height a small amount, but do not expect them to give you tires that are flush with your fenders. If you are curious to know what  they look like on your car, you can definitely find a ton of pictures on Google. They ride firmer than stock and perform better. These springs are well over $300 brand new and that doesn't even include shipping them! Take advantage of this great deal! Below is the manufacturers information about these springs. Please feel free to ask any questions.

The Cobalt spring eyes are made to be as tight as they are to make certain they remain trapped when the vehicle is lifted or worst case airborne. this is required because of the rear shock extended length at full droop. here are two tips that will make rear coil installation smoother.

1. If you have a nice warm sunny day for your rear coil installation, let the OE plastic 'bake' in the sun. A more pliable plastic is easier to work with. If we don't have sun, a bucket of hot water will do. Heat guns can melt or burn the plastic so we try to avoid that or make certain great care is used with a heat gun.

2. Suspension work is sometime similar to another passion many of us share and is best when hot and wet ;-) slippery is good. Liquid dish soap is a great temporary lubricant. When dry it is not slippery and it washes away with water. The warm plastic coated with liquid dish soap works well for the rear coil plastic seats.

American Elegance: Duesenbergs and drag cars return for concours at Meadow Brook

Tue, 13 Jul 2010

Cackling and rumbling, roaring and growling, the pair of vintage drag racers rolls onto the brick courtyard--a silver 1965 Dodge Coronet and a gaudy orange '66 “Gas Ronda” Mustang. They're two of the headliners at this year's Concours d'Elegance of America at Meadow Brook. They were followed moments later by a Bugatti Veyron, which almost silently slipped into view, thanks to the clandestine output of its 1,001 hp.

Subaru Impreza Concept: The Video

Tue, 23 Nov 2010

The Subaru Impreza Concept - video below The Subaru Impreza Concept wasn’t something we expected at the Los Angeles Motor Show last week, but it was welcome news nevertheless. The Impreza’s design has become tired and dated and needed an injection of something fresh, which the Impreza Concept certainly seems to offer. Of course, the Impreza at LA is a concept car and gets some of the usual concept fripperies like cameras for mirrors and no discernible door handles, but the basic design stands up well and should be almost all there when it goes in to production.
