Thu, 01 Sep 2011This bespoke one-off Infiniti FX has been designed by reigning F1 champion Sebastian Vettel - and it'll be at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show. Vettel, who drives for Red Bull Racing, is also an ambassador for Nissan's upmarket car division. Infiniti is a sponsor of RBR, and so Vettel is often seen at Infiniti events.

The 65,000-mile California car is claimed to be “one of the most original 101-series Giulietta Sprints in existence today with all-original interior, mostly original paint, perfect gauges, factory engine-compartment components, no accidents, and straight chrome and trim.” Curiously, the engine and transmission were removed and rebuilt in 1975 but were never reinstalled. Classic Mercedes, Maserati cars win top honors at Amelia Island concours
Mon, 15 Mar 2010Noted car collectors Sam and Emily Mann won their fourth Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance Best in Show award with a 1937 Mercedes-Benz 540K Special Roadster (with covered spare). This car is one of only three known to have been built. Originally shipped to the German embassy in Argentina, the Manns have owned the car for about 18 years.
