Here is the ELECTRIC speedo Borg Warner T5 that came out of a 90 S10 that had 2.5 4cyl engine. Truck had been sitting for a few years and I never tried to getting it running. I drained the fluid in the trans for shipping purposes and it did not look real dirty. I spun the shaft over and shifted it thru the gears, and it seems to shift ok. Splines look good. Shaft looks good and not grooved up or anything like that from a bad throw out bearing (which is common to them to have wear grooves). But as you can see this one looks good. I did not see any cracks or breaks in the cases. I did a quick degrease job, but did not go into detail as you can see. I tried to wire wheel the metal parts number tag. But it is pitted and rusted so bad I can't read the numbers. It starts with 1352 like all of them do. But the rest is unreadable. Check out the pictures good. This is sold as is, all sales are final. Holden to stop making cars in Australia
Fri, 13 Dec 2013Fresh from the news that General Motors (GM) will be pulling its Chevrolet brand out of mainstream markets in Europe, the automotive giant has now confirmed that its Australian subsidiary, Holden, will stop making cars Down Under by the end of 2017. It’s further bad news for GM, but even more so for the 2,900 Australian people who are set to lose their jobs as a result of the closure. And it’s a sad and disappointing end for the famous Holden marque, which can trace its history back as far as 1856.
