FIVE PIECES in RARE COLLECTION:

1)  1999 / 2000 Extremely RARE Press Kit of the CONCEPT SSR

This is an extremely RARE press kit that was given out to the PRESS / MEDIA at the Detroit North American International Auto Show in January of 2000 INTRODUCING the CONCEPT of the REMARKABLE CHEVY SSR CONVERTIBLE SUPER SPORTS ROADSTER PICK UP TRUCK.  This official press kit is in IMMACULATE CONDITION (minor marks and slight bends on outside cover / inside is mint condition).  This exciting SSR CONCEPT CONVERTIBLE TRUCK ultimately became the first convertible truck in mass production in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 (an almost identical model to the original concept).  NO ONE thought Chevy would actually produce this truck but they obviously did and the CONCPT morphed into and AWESOME and TOTALLY UNIQUE TRUCK.

There are 13 internal pages in the kit along with 10 original color press slides of the PURPLE CONCEPT SSR.  There are 5 sections describing 1) Overview, 2) Highlights, 3) Specifications, 4) Development and 5) Conclusion.  The front of the cover is uniquely in the shape of the SSR grill with the cutout representing the famous Chevy bow tie.  Really interesting and RARE PIECE that any SSR ENTUSIAST would cherish and would want to keep forever.  A TRUE COLLECTORS PIECE that will certainly become even more RARE with time.

2)  2004 SSR Details Book (see pictures above)

3)  2005 Exterior Paint Chip Brochure (see pictures above)

4)  SSR Concept Truck Flier (see pictures above)

5)  2005 Spec Flier (see pictures above)

I recently had to sell my SSR and now its time to sell my rare literature pieces that went with it

2015 Volvo XC90 R-DESIGN revealed

Thu, 18 Sep 2014

The 2015 Volvo XC90 R-DESIGN revealed It’s been a few weeks of reveals for the all-new Volvo XC90 – Volvo’s replacement for the venerable, but still relevant, original XC90 – with both the standard XC90 and the XC90 First Edition being revealed. Now it’s the turn of the XC90 R-Design. The new Volvo XC90 R-Design is exactly what you’d expect from an R-Design Volvo; enough bolt-on extras to denote something a little different and, perhaps, a little more sporty, but not so much it looks like the work of a pizza-faced teen let loose in a car customising emporium.

Study finds teen drivers need more time in adverse conditions

Tue, 12 Oct 2010

Practice might make perfect, but not if the drills never change. In a study organized by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Study and the University of North Carolina Highway Safety Research Center, participating teen drivers averaged about an hour and a half of supervised driving each week--mostly on routine trips along the same roads. At the end of the year-long study, 47 percent of parents said there was at least one driving condition they felt their student wasn't prepared to handle.
