The 65,000-mile California car is claimed to be “one of the most original 101-series Giulietta Sprints in existence today with all-original interior, mostly original paint, perfect gauges, factory engine-compartment components, no accidents, and straight chrome and trim.” Curiously, the engine and transmission were removed and rebuilt in 1975 but were never reinstalled. Still, the unveil of the ‘new’ sawn-off variant was one of the few Detroit surprises not known about beforehand, and offers an enticing glimpse of how the LF-A franchise could develop. Beyond the lack of a roof, the basic body shape is the same as the now-familiar LF-A coupe first unveiled at the 2005 Detroit show.
New Honda Fit to have three body styles
Fri, 07 Dec 2012Honda Motor Co. plans to build three variants of its Fit compact, including a sedan version, at its Mexican plant currently under construction. The two other variants are the standard hatchback and a Fit-based crossover, said an executive familiar with the plans.
