VW Up! to launch at Frankfurt 2011
Sun, 07 Nov 2010The VW Up to Launch Frankfurt 2011 It seems like an awfully long time since Volkswagen announced to the world that it was going to make a small range of city cars to cope with modern eco-sensibilities and recession-motivated downsizing. Rinspeed to debut autonomous XchangE concept at Geneva motor show
Mon, 24 Feb 2014Dutch coachbuilder Rinspeed has built a reputation for imagining and creating cars from 10 years in the future and making them a reality, either for well-heeled customers or for auto show crowds. So it came as no surprise when it revealed its newest project slated for the 2014 Geneva motor show, meant to preview the interiors of the self-driving cars of tomorrow. Yes, that's a Tesla Model S underneath with a (mostly) muted restyling of the front fascia, though it is really the interior that's meant to be the showpiece.
Buick Excelle and Invicta at Beijing
Mon, 21 Apr 2008By Guy Bird Motor Shows 21 April 2008 16:02 Why would such a quintessentially American brand like Buick unveil its cars in China first? Simple economics: China overtook the USA as Buick’s number one market over a year ago, allegedly on the back of the reputation of the old emperor of China having a preference for the brand. Buick (and parent brand GM) couldn’t be happier as the Buick Excelle has become a top ten seller over here. Buick’s double launchGiven this Chinese love it makes perfect sense for GM to launch not one but two cars at the 2008 Beijing motor show.
