This listing is for a set of eight (8) Eagle "SIR" 5140 forged I-beam press-fit connecting rods for Chevrolet GEN I and GEN II small block engines. P/N SIR5700BPLW. Rod specs are as follows:
Eagle "SIR" connecting rods are forged from SAE 5140 steel and utilize 3/8" ARP 8740 capscrew-style bolts with alignment sleeves for precise cap location. Sets are weight matched to +/- 2g. Sizing is performed on CNC equipment. Eagle small block I-beam rods are also clearanced for use in a 383 application for any camshaft so additional clearancing is not needed. The sale of the two iconic British brands was completed today, and ownership has now passed from Ford to Tata in exchange for $2.3bn in cash (£1.17bn). The sale means Jag/LR is debt-free, with none of the money used to fund the purchase being offset against the pair’s worth.
