The 2013 British Grand Prix at Silverstone (pictured) saw a rash of tyre failures It’s the ‘home’ Grand Prix at Silvertsone for not just the British drivers, but a chunk of the teams that are based in the UK for their F1 operations. The front row of Mercedes’ Hamilton and Rosberg (based in Brackley) and a second row of Red Bulls (based in Milton Keynes) promised plenty of action, and that’s what we got. Spyker signs deal with China's Hawtai Motor to raise funds for Saab

Saab owner Spyker Cars on Tuesday said it has signed an agreement with China's Hawtai Motor Group to form joint ventures for manufacturing, technology and distribution. The agreement will also provide $222 million (150 million euros) funding for Saab, which has been forced to halt production because it cannot pay suppliers' bills. Victor Muller, Spyker CEO and Saab chairman, said the partnership will allow Saab to enter the Chinese car market with a strong Chinese manufacturer.

Ford Figo is aimed at the heart of India's car market

We won't see it on our shores, but Ford has used the Fiesta platform to create the Figo for India and other markets in the Asia-Pacific and Africa regions. Ford CEO Alan Mulally introduced the Figo on Wednesday in Delhi. The car will be built at Ford's plant in Chennai, India.
